In an unexpected turn, Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Lost) took the stage to introduce a new television series Ubisoft is developing for Apple TV+.
McElhenney stars as Ian Grimm, a driven and brutal creative director with an ego the size of a bus. Part of the concept, besides general comedy, has to be an attempt to humanize the teams behind these lofty and ambitious games who are constantly put to the sword by their communities because it’s fair to say gamers have long had a problem with that.
David Hornsby and Charlie Day, who also work with Rob McElhenney on It’s Always Sunny are also involved in the project and even Danny Pudi, who played Abed in Community, appears in the brief clip we see.
