Ubisoft is gearing up to finally lift the lid properly on the next mainline Assassin’s Creed game, previously known as Assassin’s Creed Codename Red. The company announced overnight that not only does the game now have an official title – Assassin’s Creed Shadows – but a proper reveal will be happening with a cinematic trailer later this week. 4wd4v
The news was shared in typically extravagant fashion thanks to an enormous sand timer seemingly placed in a real-world location in Japan (it kind of looks like Osaka) and featuring the new title and logo along with the exact time that we can expect the “Reveal Trailer” to drop, and you can see it in the post from the official Assassin’s Creed below:
And here’s when that works out to across all of our local time zones:
Presumably, we’ll get a more in-depth look at the game in the Ubisoft Forward event which is happening around all of the Summer Game Fest activities at an unrevealed time on June 10th. If you’re keen to stay up to date with all of the happenings there we’ve got a handy guide to all of the Summer Game Fest 2024 presentations right here.
And when the “Official Cinematic World Premiere Trailer” drops in the early hours of this Thursday morning you’ll be able to view it just below:
Now, unfortunately for Ubisoft and those waiting to find out the information through official channels, the game’s release date and various bits of DLC have seemingly already leaked ahead of the reveal. In the interest of not jumping the gun, I’ve not included those details here but they are available in a separate post which you can find right here.
