Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Switch has officially sold 150.86 million units, putting it well above the Wii at 101 million units and just behind the Nintendo DS at 154 million units and catching the PlayStation 2 which sits at 160 million units. 1s5zr
This is pretty remarkable given the Wii U sold 13 million units, and many thought Nintendo would never cross that 100 million mark again, and also coupled with the fact that the Nintendo Switch has never really had a price drop.
When it comes to the updated list of games sales, there’s some huge movers. Super Mario Party Jamboree sold 6.17 million units, making it the fastest selling Mario Party game yet, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom reached almost 4m units, Brothership just shy of 2 million and big hitters such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons continuing to add millions of units.
It’s huge times ahead for Nintendo with the Nintendo Switch 2 releasing later this year, and we don’t expect the OG Nintendo Switch to stop selling anytime soon either.
