Macabre Is An Aussie Made Co-Op Extraction Shooter Where Betrayal Is Key To Survival

It's a dog eat dog horrorscape.

Macabre is a horror-tinged co-op, stealth extraction shooter developed by WeForge Studios, an independent Aussie team based in Sydney.

Although the game’s early access release isn’t planned until later this year, eager players can get involved with the game’s first public demo called Banjo’s Trial, which will offer players an introduction to the game’s world and key systems, such as procedural maps and shifting objectives that pull together to create an experience where replayability is a big focus.

The game can be played solo, however, I expect it’ll be best in co-op as the game’s hilarious shove mechanic opens up a lot of laugh-out-loud scenarios where a team’s weakest link might be shoved to the ground and left for dead at the hands of the Macabre, the titular shapeshifting horror that adapts to a group’s playstyle.

The demo will be available during next week’s Steam Next Fest, running from June 9th to June 16th.
